New Development Director Named at ALM

Chuck CroweAmerican Leprosy Mission (ALM) recently named Chuck Crowe, noted international leader in volunteer and relief efforts, as director of development. He previously served as executive director and senior counsel to Develop Resources providing on-site development and marketing direction to international organizations. Prior to that, he served as regional development officer for the American National Red Cross.

After the 2004 Florida hurricanes, Crowe assisted the Red Cross in the largest domestic disaster relief since 9/11. He subsequently helped plan and implement Project HOPE’s first international disaster relief campaign for the victims of the tsunami in Southeast Asia.

With its international headquarters located in Greenville, South Carolina, ALM is dedicated to providing care to those with leprosy and other related disabilities since 1906. ALM is a non-denominational Christian ministry of hope and restoration for people suffering with these diseases. The organization supports numerous projects in approximately 15 countries. Donor gifts provide training and transportation for leprosy workers, case finding and diagnosis, physical and vocational rehabilitation, Christian encouragement, community development and more. ALM will celebrate its 100 th year of operation next year.
