Project: NKORANZA
Partner: MAP International (Medical Assistance Program)
The focus of this project is health education and promotion to facilitate early case detection, management, referral and reporting of Buruli ulcer cases. The project sites are Nkoranza and Asutifi health districts in Brong Ahafo region and Amansie Health district in Ashanti region. The project facilitates capacity strengthening of local government and health institutions. In addition, the project plays an active advocacy role in ensuring that treatment and management of Buruli ulcer cases become an integral part of the National Health Insurance scheme.
