Several months ago, white patches started to appear on fifteen year old Jade's back. His family thought it was a fungus. But, when more patches appeared, his mother brought him to Cebu Skin Clinic where he was diagnosed with advanced-stage leprosy. Thankfully, Jade is now on his second month of treatment and will soon be completely cured.

Jade is the youngest in a family of four. His father is in prison and his mother does laundry to try to support the family. But Jade still had to leave school when he was only in the 6th grade in order to sell fish to help feed his family.

Jade has three wishes: For his family to reunite, to be cured of leprosy, and to finish school and become an engineer.

Thankfully, Jade's trials and tribulations have strengthened his faith in God. And, he knows that because of the support of people like you, he has a chance at a better life after leprosy. Thank you for caring about children like Jade, and for keeping him and his family in your prayers.
