Many years ago, Lori visited India and encountered a child with leprosy – this became the catalyst for her involvement with American Leprosy Missions.  She became an avid supporter, then eventually joined ALM on the board of directors.

Lori has a master’s degree in Global Community Engagement with an emphasis in Culture/Diversity, and has spent the last 15 years volunteering and advocating on behalf of international nonprofits as well as various community organizations near her home. She is a former board member of New Life Restoration Ministries: a school and orphanage located in Nairobi, Kenya where she created a successful sponsor-a-child program.  Lori is also actively involved with ACD Guatemala: a community organization in the western highlands of Guatemala, where she travels once a year.

Lori works with a health research company and enjoys spending time with her teenage son in their hometown of Nashville, Tennessee.
